Hello there! I’m Yemie and I’m a Korean-American actor, singer, and all-around creative who’s always looking for ways to engage my curiosity. I’m originally from Suffern, NY but spent a lot of my life living in northern NJ. I grew up practically glued to my dad’s legs and unable to say hello to my grandma, so it came as a shock to my whole family when 8-year-old Yemie ran onstage during my church’s Christmas show after saying to my mom, “It’s my time now.”

In 2021, I moved to NYC to get my BFA in Musical Theatre and minor in Arts and Entertainment Management at Pace University. During my time in college, I’ve been so lucky to be a part of numerous Pace mainstages and workshops as well as dip my toe into the Film/TV world with writing, directing, and starring in my senior thesis film entitled Can We Go, Please?

When I’m not performing, you can find me lounging at home (I’m the BIGGEST homebody), doing karaoke with my friends, or reminiscing about one of the countries that I have been so lucky to travel to. My most recent hobby is finding out why inventions were invented in the first place - ask me about the origins of the straw!
